Rodney Fox is an Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP) who is nationally certified for clinical practice by both the American Nurses Credentialing Center, part of the American Nurses Association, and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. He received his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from East Tennessee State University, and his Master of Science in Nursing from Emory University. He has been inducted into Sigma Theta Tau International, Honor Society of Nursing. The Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP) is a Masters prepared Registered Nurse who is prepared as a generalist, principal provider of primary health care to adults. In this clinician role, the ANP assumes responsibility for promoting, maintaining, and restoring health, including the identification of health risks, the promotion of wellness, and the diagnosis and management of acute and chronic illness. They are prepared to work both independently and in collaboration with other health care professionals. Mr. Fox is an AIDS Certified Registered Nurse (ACRN), certified by the Association of Nurses in AIDS Care, and additionally, credentialed by the American Academy of HIV Medicine. Obtaining an HIV Specialist credential from the Academy communicates to patients, colleagues, and third-party payers maintenance of a sufficient level of core knowledge in HIV treatment and currently possess up-to-date information surrounding the latest treatments. Mr. Fox’s previous clinical experience includes medical and emergency nursing. He has been part of the Pride Medical team since January 1999. He is currently taking new patients. |
