Previously many patients needed to stay in the hospital to receive specialized intravenous (IV) or other infusion-type therapies. Due to advances in medical technology, patients can receive these therapies in the comfort of their homes or in an ambulatory infusion center.
Pride Medical, Inc. has designed a comfortable on-site infusion suite to provide patients with a controlled setting for infusions or injections of medications. The suite may be used for many purposes including a first dose of an IV drug or for an extended course of therapy.
Pride Medical staff can administer the following services in its IV suite:
- IV Antibiotics
- IV Immune Gamaglobulins (IVIG)
- IV Hydration
- IV Tysabri (for Multiple Sclerosis)
- IV Reclast (for Osteopenia and Osteoparesis)
- Enteral Nutrition
- Total Parenteral Nutrition
- Aerosol Pentamadine Therapy
- Other Specialized Therapies
The Pride Medical Infusion Suite is staffed by highly skilled, infusion-trained, registered Nurses (RNs). The nurses specialize in teaching, administering and providing follow-up support to patients receiving these therapies. Additionally, the Infusion Suite Staff will coordinate care with the home care supply companies and home health agencies to determine what continued care the patient will need at home.
