On-Site Infusion Suite

Pride Medical has designed an infusion suite to provide you with a controlled setting for infusions or injections of medication in a home-like environment. This area is staffed by registered nurses (RNs), pharmacists (RPhs), and physicians (MDs) and provides an alternative to hospitalization. This suite may be used for many purposes including a first dose of a drug or for an extended course of therapy.

Nursing Support

Previously many patients needed to stay in the hospital to receive specialized intravenous or other infusion-type therapies. Due to advances in medical technology, our patients can receive these therapies in the comfort of their homes or in our ambulatory infusion center.

These are the services that Pride Medical can now offer:

    • blood and blood product transfusions
    • IV antibiotics
    • IV chemotherapy
    • IV pain management
    • enteral nutrition
    • total parenteral nutrition
    • other specialized therapies

In most cases your doctor may request that you and your care-partner be taught and learn the specifics of your home care. Pride Medical Nursing Service is made up of highly skilled, infusion trained, registered nurses (RNs). The nurses specialize in teaching and providing follow-up support visits to patients receiving these therapies. If ordered by the doctor, the nurse will make these arrangements.

Home Care Coordination

Nursing, Medical Equipment, etc.

Pride Medical’s infusion nurses help you in ordering in supplies and arranging for delivery. The nurses know what supplies are needed for each therapy or treatment. The nurse will:

    • Identify the number of supplies you need to order and keep on hand;
    • Arrange a regular schedule for you to receive supplies;
    • Schedule your home deliveries.

A contracted delivery service will deliver all of your needed products, supplies and equipment on the scheduled day. For questions about specific supplies or deliveries, call the infusion nurse at Pride Medical. We are able to provide same-day delivery service in emergencies to a limited area.

Pride Medical infusion nurses will also work closely with any home health agency which is providing private duty nursing care for you in your home. So that you will not have to worry about who to call with any problems or concerns, your Pride Medical infusion nurse will be the point person between you and the agency and between the agency and the doctor.
